New policy for free and reduced price school meals announced
The Bogalusa City School System recently announced its policy for free and reduced price meals served under the National School Lunch and/or School Breakfast programs. All schools and the central office have a copy of the policy, which may be reviewed by any interested party.

Smoking policy enacted
No butts about it. A policy signed by President David Leebron last month officially restricts where students can smoke on campus. Rice University Policy No. 839, signed by Leebron on Aug. 3, adopted a formalized nonsmoking policy that complies with the city of Houston's nonsmoking ordinance.
